Oluwasanmi Afolayan

Senior Manager

Oluwasanmi is a Senior Manager in the Tax Advisory and Transfer Pricing Practice of Kreston Pedabo. She is a legal practitioner and certified tax professional with over a decade of experience spanning tax advisory, transfer pricing, regulatory compliance, corporate advisory, and tax policy matters in Nigeria.

She obtained her degree from Babcock University and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and also holds membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN).

Prior to joining Kreston Pedabo, Oluwasanmi worked with a leading Nigerian law firm where she advised clients on a broad range of legal, regulatory, and commercial transactions across multiple sectors.

At Kreston Pedabo, she leads engagements relating to tax advisory, transaction structuring, tax and legal due diligence, and regulatory compliance for clients operating across the financial services, oil and gas, fintech, manufacturing, and other key sectors of the economy. She has advised on several high-value and complex transactions involving both local and multinational businesses.

Oluwasanmi also leads the firm’s Legal and Secretarial Services Practice, where she oversees the delivery of corporate secretarial, legal due diligence, business restructuring, and insolvency-related services. Through PAL Nominees Limited, an affiliate within the Kreston Pedabo ecosystem, she serves as Company Secretary to various corporate entities and advises on corporate governance and statutory compliance matters.

Beyond client advisory work, Oluwasanmi is actively involved in professional capacity development and technical training for corporate organisations and tax authorities on emerging tax and regulatory issues. She recently served as a consultant in connection with the finalisation and enactment of the Nigerian Tax Reform Acts and has facilitated several training sessions on the implementation and practical implications of the new tax laws.

She is also a published writer on tax, legal, and insolvency matters, with several thought leadership articles to her credit.
